Oven Repair in Springfield, VA

An oven that won’t heat, heats unevenly or can’t hold the temperature you set makes every recipe a guess. Alliance Appliance Services provides oven repair in Springfield, VA for gas and electric wall ovens, double ovens and the oven section of freestanding and slide-in ranges.

We check the heating components, the temperature sensor and the control system together, because an oven that runs 50 degrees off is as often a sensor or calibration problem as a failed element.

Tell us the appliance, the brand and what it’s doing. We’ll diagnose first and explain the repair before any work starts.

01 / Problems we fix

Common oven problems we repair.

Heat, accuracy and the door are where ovens fail. These are the symptoms Springfield homeowners describe most.

  • Oven Not Heating

An electric oven that won’t heat usually has a failed bake element, a bad temperature sensor or a control-board relay. A gas oven that won’t heat most often has a weak igniter that glows but never opens the gas valve. Both are common, well-understood repairs.

  • Oven Temperature Not Accurate

If baking takes longer than the recipe says, or the top burns before the middle cooks, the oven may be running hot or cold. The temperature sensor, the control calibration or a failing element can all be responsible. We verify with a thermometer before deciding.

  • Oven Heating Unevenly

Uneven results point to a bake or broil element that has partly failed, a convection fan that has stopped, a damaged door gasket letting heat escape, or a sensor reading the wrong zone.

  • Oven Won’t Turn On

No display or no response can involve the power supply, a blown thermal fuse after a self-clean cycle, the oven control board or a door lock assembly stuck in the locked position.

  • Gas Oven Igniter Problems

The igniter in a gas oven has to draw enough current to open the gas valve. As it ages it still glows, but too weakly, so the oven takes a long time to light or never lights. Replacing the igniter restores normal operation.

  • Oven Door Problems

A door that won’t close, won’t seal or won’t unlock after self-clean involves the hinges, the gasket, the door lock motor or a broken door spring. A poor seal costs heat and accuracy.

  • Oven Error Codes

F1, F2, F3, F9 and similar codes point to the sensor, the control board, the door lock or a keypad fault. We confirm the failed part before replacing it.

02 / In detail

Wall Oven Repair

Single and double wall ovens are built into cabinetry, which makes access different from a range. Our technicians service wall ovens from GE, KitchenAid, Bosch, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Thermador, Viking, Wolf and JennAir, including removing and refitting the unit where the repair needs it.

Self-Clean Cycle Damage

High-heat self-clean cycles are a common trigger for oven failures. Blown thermal fuses, failed door locks and damaged control boards often show up right after a self-clean. If your oven stopped working after cleaning, tell us when you call.

Stove, oven or range? Which page do you need?

We use stove for the cooking surface and its burners, oven for the enclosed baking cavity and range for the combined appliance. If the burners are the problem, see stove repair. If the oven is not heating or holding temperature, see oven repair. If both are affected, or you own a professional-style range, see range repair. Built-in cooktops have their own page: cooktop repair.

$75 Diagnostic Service

Our $75 diagnostic fee covers the inspection and diagnosis and is applied toward the approved repair.

Oven Repair FAQs

Still have a question? Tell us the appliance, the model number and what it’s doing.

Call (571) 303-8548

My oven heats but food takes forever. Is it broken?

It is probably running cold. The temperature sensor or the calibration is the usual cause, and both are fixable. If you have a thermometer reading, tell us when you call.

Why did my oven stop working after self-clean?

Self-clean runs far hotter than cooking. It often blows the thermal fuse or damages the door lock or the control board. These are repairable, and we see them regularly.

Do you repair gas ovens?

Yes. Most gas-oven no-heat calls are a weak igniter, a quick repair once confirmed.

Do you repair double wall ovens and convection ovens?

Yes, including convection fans, elements and controls on single and double wall ovens.

How much does oven repair cost?

It depends on the appliance, the problem and the parts required. Our $75 diagnostic fee covers the inspection and diagnosis and is applied toward the approved repair. You receive the estimate before any approved work starts.

Can you repair an oven door that won’t unlock?

Yes. The door lock motor or latch assembly usually needs attention, most often after a self-clean cycle.
